Shift Questions customized for specific group sizes

You want to gather additional information from your guests, but only from bigger groups? Or you want to give more options to specific group sizes? We'll show you how to set up shift questions depending on pax sizes.

Shift questions allow you to add more categorized information to reservations.

In this article, we will guide you on how to create shift questions effectively.

Here you will also learn how to use shift questions solely for internal purposes.

As soon as guests make reservations through the widget on your restaurant's website, you can activate additional questions. You now have the option to tailor these questions based on the size of the group.

This allows you to ask your guests only the most relevant questions, optimizing restaurant operations while providing a more personalized experience for your guests.

Example

Want to know what menu options larger groups prefer? Set a question like "Would your group like to pre-select a menu?" for reservations of 8+ guests, while smaller groups skip it entirely. This makes gathering the right information easier and more tailored.

Set Up

1. You can find the settings for additional questions under Settings > Shifts in the relevant shift.

2. For example, select your evening shift and scroll down to the "Questions" box.

3. After activating the questions and formulating them along with the answer options, you can specify which group sizes will see these questions on the widget. Additionally, these questions can also be selected for internal reservations in the backend.

Tip: Especially when paired with ticketing or pre-sale options, you can customize your inquiries even further.
