How it works

Reservations details

  • View confirmed upcoming reservations from aleno in your Lightspeed system
    • Access the reservation list via the “Reservation” button in Lightspeed
  • See guest notes, tags and reservation comments in your POS.

Automated status updates

  • Check-in status synchronization
    • Seat a reservation in Lightspeed → the status in aleno updates to Seated.
    • Seat a reservation in aleno → order automatically opened on the corresponding table in Lightspeed
  • Check-out status synchronisation
    • Close an order in Lightspeed → the status in aleno updates to Paid.
    • Mark a reservation as departed in Lightspeed → the status in aleno updates to Departed.

 

Walk-ins

  • Checking-in a walk-in reservation in aleno will automatically open an order on the assigned table in Lightspeed.
  • Opening an order for a walk-in directly in Lightspeed → aleno will automatically create a walk-in reservation to keep your capacity accurate.

Important: Table names must match between both systems to keep updates accurate.

 

Guest data synchronization

  • Items purchased in Lightspeed are synced back to aleno.
  • In each guest profile, you’ll see:
    • Items ordered
    • Spend per visit
    • Total revenue generated

Pro tip: Combine this with our auto-tagging feature to automatically tag and reward high-spending guests.

How to start

Installation

You can install the Lightspeed integration directly via the aleno Marketplace.

  1. Go to the Lightspeed page in aleno Marketplace and select "Request Access".
  2. Follow the instructions:
    1. Select your aleno restaurant
    2. Authorize the Lightspeed access
    3. Select your Lightspeed restaurant location

 

Reservations list in POS

To see the full reservation list in your POS, you need to add the button with the web extension in the Lightspeed Backoffice. Follow for more instructions on Lightspeed documentation.

Go to Menu Management > Menus and select the menu. Add here a dedicated button with aleno web extension in one of the defined sub-screens.
