Group, linked and shared bookings.

aleno invested into making group, linked and shared bookings easy to handle. This guide covers how to handle those with ease.

  • Group & linked bookings

A group bookings exists of multiple bookings bookings linked by a group name. A linked booking has several bookings that are marked as linked (e.g. a family), but don’t necessarily have a group name.

    • Group & linked bookings are automatically recognized in aleno.
    • We create reservations for each room belonging to the group.
    • All reservations will get a tag assigned with the group name. For linked bookings this is the [what do we do here]?
    • Our automated table assignments feature automatically assigns all group members to an available set of tables.
      • If there is no room to assign them all, it will assign as many as possible and notify you that some weren’t assigned.

Currently it is not possible to edit all reservations from a group at once. So if you for example want to add a different table, you need to do this for each reservation from the group. We are working on ways to improve this.

  • Shared bookings

Shared bookings are bookings with several guest profiles attached to one booking in the PMS.

    • Shared bookings are automatically recognized in aleno, the reservation is created with the name of all sharers
    • To see more details about the sharers, click on the comment icon on the reservation
