Define Date Ranges in PMS Rules

In this article, we explain how to create PMS integration rules with specific date ranges and weekdays – for example, to adjust breakfast times based on the season or weekends.

Benefits and Use Cases

You can:

  • Limit rules to specific periods, e.g. only in summer or only on weekends

  • Set different times or shifts based on season or weekday

  • Plan rules in advance by defining start and end dates

Example: Seasonal

  • Winter breakfast rule → active only from Dec 1 to Feb 29, time: 07:00

  • Summer breakfast rule → active only from Jun 1 to Aug 31, time: 09:00

Example: Weekdays

  • Weekend breakfast rule → active only on Saturdays and Sundays, time: 09:00

  • Weekday breakfast rule → active Monday to Friday, time: 07:00

Important Note

If you add a date range or weekdays to an existing rule, all future reservations outside of that range or those days will be dismissed.
The rule will then only apply to the defined timeframe and/or weekdays.

Configuration

  1. Go to Settings > Integrations > PMS

  2. Open the PMS Rules section

  3. Select an existing rule or create a new one

  4. In Step 8 of the rule creation, you’ll find the Rule range section

  5. There you can:

    • Add one or more date ranges (e.g. 01.06.2025–31.08.2025)

    • Select specific weekdays (e.g. Monday–Friday)

  6. Save the rule. It will now be active only in the defined timeframe and/or on selected weekdays

👉 You can add multiple date ranges to a single rule.

Good to Know

  • If a hotel booking partially overlaps with the defined date range (e.g. stay from July 8–15, rule active only July 10–13), reservations will be created only for the valid days.

  • Date ranges and weekdays can be combined – e.g. only in July and only on weekends.
