Managing Consents in the Widget

In this article you’ll learn how to activate Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy in the widget and how to add your own custom consents for guests.

1. Activating Terms & Conditions & Privacy Policy

In the widget you can require guests to actively agree to your Terms & Conditions and/or Privacy Policy before completing a reservation.

How to set this up:

  1. Go to Settings > Widget > Consents

  2. Enable the options for Terms & Conditions and/or Privacy Policy

  3. Add the link to the full text (e.g., on your website)

👉 Guests will then need to check the respective box(es) during the reservation process before confirming their booking.

2. Adding custom consents

Under Additional Consents you can define your own checkboxes that guests will see in the widget. Each consent can be set as required or optional.

Examples of custom consents:

  • Data sharing with partners
    “I agree that my data may be shared with selected partners of the hotel/restaurant. [Learn more]”

  • Storage of guest preferences
    “I agree that my information on allergies or preferences may be stored and used for future visits.”

  • No-show / cancellation policy
    “I have read and agree to the cancellation policy. [View details]”

  • Photo/video usage
    “I agree that photos or videos taken in the restaurant, in which I may appear, may be used by the restaurant.”

👉 Note: Newsletter consents can be activated separately under Settings > Widget > Customization.
